They go hard at Blizzard, or should I say … Blizzhard?
BlizzCon is a convention entirely devoted to our favorite blizzard on the planet. Due to a certain virus, which we are already more than fed up with, Blizzcon is canceled this year...
… in a physical way! Because Blizzard has announced that Blizzcon will change its name to BlizzConline this year. The event will take place and continue entirely online February 19-20, 2021. Cosplay contests, Art contests and even storytelling will take place completely online. Even the famous March of Murlocs will continue digitally. Below a video to see how that went (or marched?)
However, it won’t be such a difficult thing for Blizzard to adopt this format. BlizzCon already had the virtual ticket system. When you bought this you got various goodies for almost all Blizzard games and you could watch exclusive live streams from the event. This was mainly intended for people who could not be present at Blizzcon itself and still wanted to take advantage of it. Of course Blizzard plays it smart and the ticket was sometimes bought purely for the goodies.
Other than this information, nothing else has really been released. Regardless, at its own convention, Blizzard is always giving an update on their upcoming games. They can talk about Diablo 4 and Diablo Immortals (their infamous mobile game), Overwatch 2 that was announced last year and WoW: Shadowlands.
If you want to register for the different competitions, or want to call out as a Murloc, you can register via the website of Blizzard self. More information has yet to be released, but we can already keep the date free!
Are you gonna shout like a Murloc? Or do you sometimes buy the ticket purely for the goodies?
