MOSCOW, September 21. / TASS /. Four people, according to the latest data, were injured after an Infiniti car hit pedestrians in the center of Moscow. This was reported to TASS on Monday by a source in the emergency services.
Earlier, the Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate reported that three pedestrians were injured. “According to updated data, as a result of an accident at the intersection of Ostozhenka and Pomerantseva Lane, where the Infiniti car flew onto the sidewalk, four people were injured. Currently, three were sent to the hospital, one refused to be hospitalized,” the source said.
As specified in the press service of the Moscow Department of Transport, the man was hospitalized with severe spinal injuries, preliminary diagnosis of fractured ribs, closed craniocerebral trauma. A woman was also hospitalized with an open leg fracture and ankle amputation on the left. Another woman was hospitalized with a fractured pelvis and a concussion.
For its part, the department of the Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate TASS explained that among the victims there are two pedestrians: a man and a woman, as well as a woman – a passenger of an Infiniti car.
A TASS source in law enforcement added that, according to preliminary information, the Infiniti driver was guilty of the accident, he was moving at a red traffic light.
The accident happened at 16:20 Moscow time at the intersection of Ostozhenka and Pomerantseva lane, Mercedes and Infiniti cars collided. As a result of the collision, the Infiniti car was thrown onto the sidewalk, where it hit pedestrians.
