Until now, home insulation has been an advice. But from September 28, the British government is mandating home insulation. This will apply to people who have tested positive for Covid-19, but also to people who have been in contact with an infected person. Employers who prohibit employees from going into home isolation can also face fines.
The measures are imposed after the number of infections per week in the United Kingdom has doubled in recent weeks. Yesterday, Prime Minister Johnson announced that more than 4,000 new infections had been registered in one day. This is the highest increase since May 8.
