Misano Adriatico –
Andrea Dovizioso down to the crossing MotoGP of Emilia Romagna with the words ‘Unemployed’ (unemployed) on the back of his wearpack or racing costume. What’s the story behind it?
There is something different in Dovizioso’s racing costume at Emilia Romagna’s MotoGP. On the back of the wearpack, the words Unemployed are attached, replacing the words Undaunted (brave) who are usually there.
Not a few later linked the article to Dovizioso’s future at MotoGP. The Italian racer has decided to leave Ducati after the season MotoGP 2020 this.
However, it is still not known where Dovizioso will anchor next. The 34-year-old racer also admits that he doesn’t have a Plan B.
Apparently, Dovizioso was “forced” to put the words Unemployed on his racing costume. He lost a bet with his friends.
“I was forced to place it (‘Unemployed) because of a bet with a friend,” said Dovizioso, as reported by Crash.
“They told me that if I finished first in the riders’ standings after the Misano 1 race, you had to put it up. And it happened.”
“I didn’t do well enough to create that situation, because I finished seventh in the race. But, in the end, it happened and I had to put it up.
“If you bet something with friends, you can’t back off. So I was forced by my friends. But Fabio did it!”
After last week’s San Marino MotoGP, Dovizioso did climb to the top of the riders’ standings even though he only finished seventh. That also cannot be separated from the contribution of Fabio Quartararo who failed to finish due to a crash.
Dovizioso is now at the top of the MotoGP riders’ standings with 76 points. He is six points ahead of Quartararo.
