The Boston Celtics aren’t done yet!
After the team of the German NBA star Daniel Theis had lost the first two games of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Miami Heat, they reported impressively back with a 117-106 victory.
In the best-of-seven series, the Celtics shortened to 1: 2.
The Celtics had already thrown a big lead in the first two games, but in the second half of the encounter they had lost a double-digit point cushion.
This time too, the 20-point lead that the Celtics had seven minutes before the end melted, the Heat came down to five points in the last minute. Boston, however, kept its nerve and was harmed.

Brown and Tatum lead Boston to victory
The best scorers for Boston on Sunday night were Jaylen Brown with 26 and Jayson Tatum with 25 points. Bam Adebayo had 27 points at Miami.
“There are great guys in this locker room,” Brown said after the game and emphasized that the team spirit would not have suffered from the first two missed games: “We pulled together in the tough moments and didn’t hang our heads.”

Brown’s conclusion was also a response to reports of a cabin dispute after Game 2, in which Guard colleague Marcus Smart in particular is said to have been loud. Everything remained within the framework, assured Tatum: “That was normal. Basketball is an emotional game and we want the boys to be frustrated and angry in such a situation, that they show that they do not care.” Smart also drew a demonstrative line: “I am proud of the reaction we have shown.”
Compared to the first two games, the Celtics attacked the Heat more consistently under the basket, and the presence of Gordon Hayward, who returned after an ankle injury, was noticeably good for them. Coach Brad Stevens praised: “Our whole team was aggressive and played with the right mentality.”

Daniel Theis also gets eight points and seven rebounds
Theis came up with eight points and seven rebounds in 24 minutes, but had accumulated several personal fouls early on and had to act more cautiously afterwards.
Game four of the Conference Finals in the east will not start until Thursday night (from 3 a.m. on DAZN). The team that wins four first moves into the NBA finals.
In the west, the Los Angeles Lakers and the surprise team Denver Nuggets duel for the second final ticket. The Lakers with LeBron James and Anthony Davis lead the series 1-0, the second game will be played on Monday night (1.30 a.m. on DAZN).
