SEOUL, KOMPAS.com – A traitor who tried to come back to North Korea ( Jewelry) was caught.
The police reported the defector’s arrest South Korea ( Carousel) on Sunday (20/9/2020).
Reporting from Reuters via The Straits Times, the defector fled North Korea to South Korea in 2018.
He is suspected of breaking into a South Korean military training facility in the border town of Cheorwon on Thursday (17/9/2020) in order to return to North Korea.

“The man is currently under a police investigation. We are looking for details on why he tried to cross the border,” a police officer said by telephone.
However, the police officer did not specify when the defector was arrested.
In July, a 24-year-old defector was reported back to North Korea.
He returned to North Korea by way of a drainage ditch and swimming across Han River to the north.

The way he returned to North Korea was exactly the way he fled the country in 2017.
The defector’s illegal escape has prompted South Korean authorities to conduct an investigation into the military unit responsible.
