National Communications Commission of Taiwan published on its website there are “live” photos of the PlayStation 5 next to a special line, thanks to which you can estimate the dimensions of the console.
As noted by The Verge, PS5 is noticeably larger than the first generation Xbox One and its own PlayStation 3, moreover, as in the case of the Xbox Series X, because of such an impressive size, the novelty will be difficult to place in a niche under the TV. Probably, the engineers in both cases meant predominantly vertical installation of consoles, which could create some problems for future owners. However, a special stand for horizontal placement is still included with the PS5.
There are USB-A and USB-C ports on the front of the PS5, with two more USB-A ports on the back. The back also has connectors for network, power and HDMI. Where the NVMe memory expansion slot is located is not clear yet. The Verge believes that at least one of the side panels will be removable, and this is where the slot for connecting an additional SSD will be hidden.
Recall that the sales of the PlayStation 5 will start in Russia on November 19. The set-top box will be sold in two versions: the model with a floppy drive will cost the Russians 46,990 rubles, and the Digital version – 37,990 rubles.
