Doctors told how to distinguish common ARVI from coronavirus infection in children. There are typical signs of both the common cold and COVID-19.
As explained by Professor Tim Spector of King’s College London, common symptoms of a cold in children are runny nose, nasal congestion and sneezing.
And coronavirus infection in children is most often manifested by fatigue, headaches and high fever. In adults, these symptoms include headache, fatigue, and loss of smell. None of the sick people complains about a runny nose, the doctor said.
Experts advise paying more attention to the symptoms of the disease. If the signs are more likely to relate to ARVI, do not suspect a coronavirus in a child.
At the same time, doctors recommend leaving children at home if any symptoms of a cold are noticed, writes the British edition of the Daily Mail.
