The sharp operation of the uniform tariff in the entire network will start in December this year.
From today, passengers on the lines between Česká Lípa and Rumburk and Pilsen and Most can buy a single ticket for all carriers electronically.
Today, the state-owned company Cendis took another step towards the nationwide introduction of a state-wide uniform tariff on Czech railways by launching an e-shop. In addition to individual tickets, those interested can also buy so-called line tickets for a given session, valid for up to 90 days. The purchase does not require registration, just enter the name and e-mail to which the document is sent. However, the system also allows registration for repeat purchases.
They started electronically in mid-August sell tickets of the single Czech Railways tariff.
A test operation has been running on both lines since June, when passengers have so far bought tickets at the box office or from guides. So far, they have sold over five thousand. According to Jan Paroubek, in charge of managing Cendis, purchases on the Česká Lípa – Rumburk line set predominate.
News in the system of a single tariff today on press conference represents the Minister of Transport Karel Havlíček and representatives of Cendis. The next step is to launch a mobile application for buying tickets. “The system works, so now we are entering the electronic phase,” said Havlíček.
The uniform fare should make passengers more comfortable to travel without having to buy another ticket when switching to another carrier. From December, with a change in the timetable, a single ticket will be valid on every train ordered by the regions or the Ministry of Transport. Passengers will continue to be able to buy other documents, such as the carrier’s special offers or tickets according to regional integrated systems.
