When the postman has to deliver a registered letter to us and does not find us at home, he leaves the so-called stock notice in the mailbox. Not knowing the content, the recipient of the registered letter therefore begins to wonder who the sender may be and what its content may be.
The curiosity is great, if we think about the fact that it cannot be satisfied immediately. This is because the package can only be collected after at least one day has elapsed from the delivery of the notice.
To this end, the identification code found on the stock notice provides considerable help.
The recipient, through it, can know the sender. As well as the type of communication received, even before going to the post office to collect the package.
We want to provide you with the information on the stock notice below: here’s how to understand what it is.
Learn to read codes
The various codes shown in the notice of stock correspond to the different shipping items.
Pay attention to the first digits of the code. These are, in fact, that distinguish the type of registered letter and shipment.
If you find these codes on the stock notice, here’s how to understand what it is.
a) Codes 12, 13, 14,15,151,152,1513,1514,1515. Generally they identify a simple registered letter;
b) Codes 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 668. They most likely indicate a fine or a judicial act, such as a provision notified by the Court or summons to appear in a judgment.
They can also indicate communications from the Revenue Agency. In particular, checks on the tax return, as reported by some readers.
a) Codes 608, 609. Usually those starting with these figures indicate that a public body has attempted the notification of its own act.
b) Codes 612, 614, 0693. Registered letters from banks or other credit institutions, including the post office, begin with these figures.
c) Codes 613, 615. A notification of fines or unpaid taxes comes from the Revenue Agency.
d) Code 616, 665. This code identifies several communications. Among them, the communication for non-payment of the car tax, the communication from the insurance for the management of a claim and reminders for bill payment.
e) Code 648, 649, 669. They identify the sending of a new credit card, debit card, car reminders or payment reminders for utilities.
f) Code 670, 671, 689. This is the most feared trio of digits. Its presence at the beginning of a registered letter identifies an Equitalia folder.
g) Code 63, 65, 630, 650. These are the numbers that distinguish the codes of communications or documents coming from INPS.
