A Canadian has been convicted by police in the Canadian province of Alberta for being found sleeping behind the wheel of a Tesla with the driver assistance system turned on. Shortly before, the officers caught sight of the car by measuring speeds of up to 150 kilometers per hour.

As officers approached the car and tried to signal with flickering headlights, the Tesla seemed to accelerate. Many Canadian highways have a speed limit of 110 kilometers per hour.
In the end, officers managed to pull the car over. The driver turned out to be a 20-year-old man from the Canadian province of British Columbia. He was fined for speeding and was banned from driving for a day. He also has to answer in court in December for his dangerous driving behavior.
Such incidents are not an unknown phenomenon in Canada. In January, a man was pulled over in Ontario for letting go of the steering wheel at speeds of 85 miles per hour to floss his teeth.
