Coach Petr Rada was again unable to bring the Jablonec footballers to success in the European League, and just like a year ago, their performance ends in disgrace right after confrontation with the first opponent. While a year ago the North Bohemians and Pyunik Yerevan were eliminated, now they have scored five goals and lost in Dunajská Streda after a 3: 5 extra time.
The guests started in the same line-up as during the weekend win over Ostrava. The goalkeeper of the Czech national team, Jedlička, was also present in the home goal, and Fábry, who came to Dunajská Streda from Jablonec, also joined.
The North Bohemians started relatively actively, but collected in the sixth minute. After a pass from behind the defense, Divkovič noticed that Hanuš was not well built, and he opened the score with an arc from an angle from the limit of sixteen.
In the ninth minute, the Jablonec goalkeeper partially undone his hesitation. After a mistake of guests on Wednesday, Divkovič went to the break again, but Hanuš ran well and hit. With 17 minutes played, Schranz had a fantastic opportunity to reply but his shot flew harmlessly into the side-netting of the goal.
In the middle of the opening act, the Hungarian captain of the home team Kalmár fired a direct kick and Hanuš pulled the ball to the corner with the help of a crossbar. In the 25th minute, the North Bohemians happily equalized. Ladr’s shot from behind the lime flowed in a position with a significantly smelling offside Zelený, the ball went into the counter-movement of the goalkeeper Jedlička and the referee acknowledged the goal.
The home crowd cheered at the stadium, and their chants reached the pitch. After 57 minutes, Jablonec made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to Jablonec who shuffled it past the keeper. Považanec kicked Ladra out of the middle of the field, who threw the goalkeeper Jedlička and the catching Schranz knocked the ball into the net. The summer reinforcement of the North Bohemians hit against its compatriots, although only two Slovaks joined the basic line-up of Dunajská Streda.
In the 65th minute Dunajská Streda leveled. The former player Karviná Ramírez pushed Divkovič out and he surpassed Hanuš with an overview. However, the guests soon led again. The Italian referee Di Bello whistled Kružliak’s hand in the lime very hard and Schranz converted the penalty with great luck.
The hosts then created pressure. Kružliak aimed right next to him, Divkovič was immediately ruined by the joy of a hat-trick whistled and then Hanuš, who pulled the ball to the pole. In the 85th minute, the Jablonec goalkeeper made a mistake, he shot a light shot in front of him and the freshman DAC Nicolaescu leveled up close.
Even in the basic playing time, Ramírez was able to turn the score around, after which the guests were saved for the third time by a goal construction. The turn came in the sixth minute of extra time, when after a combination he hit Nicolaescu’s upper corner. In the 114th minute, the Panamanian representative Davis finally decided with a successful blow. Dunajská Streda also won the eighth competitive match of the season.
