French Patrice Carteron, former coach of Zamalek, has completed his agreement with officials of the Saudi cooperation team to take over the task of coaching the team in the coming period.
And according to what a source – on condition of anonymity – confirmed in private statements, Leela Kora, Carteron will travel to Saudi Arabia today, Wednesday, to start taking over the mission.
Carteron was scheduled to travel to the kingdom at dawn today, but his flight was delayed for several hours.
The source indicated that the contract that will link Carteron with the cooperation will extend for the next two seasons, to lay out the team’s road map to competing in Asia.
The source stressed that the Al-Taawon club management set the AFC Champions League crowning a goal for Carton to achieve with the team in the coming period.
It is worth noting that Carteron had informed the Zamalek club management of his departure from training the team yesterday evening, Tuesday, before he paid the penalty clause to terminate the contract.
