Spider-Girl movie in the making at Sony

We’ve known for some time that Sony is big cinematic universe wants to build around Spider-Man. So that work is being done on films around Venom and Morbius, among others. But now, we hear, there may also be a movie about Spider-Girl.

Two additional films in Sony’s Spider-Verse have recently been announced: Spider-Woman in Kraven the Hunter. Now Fandom Wire states that work is also being done on a Spider-Girl film.

Spider-Girl-film
The Spider-Girl film would revolve around Anya Corazon, aka Araña. She is half Mexican, half Puerto Rican. The heroine gains Spider powers from a mysterious source and gains the usual extra power and spider-like speed we know from Spider-Man. But Anya also has an exoskeleton that she can summon to her heart’s content.
