“We live in difficult times. However, we are also ready for dialogue. Greece has confirmed readiness to support dialogue. But of course, dialogue is not under threat,” Sakellaropoulo was quoted as saying VIVA Military from Bianet.

Sakellaropoulo wants to make sure he wants to send a message to Turkey and emphasize that Greece is ready for the worst scenario of war. In his words, Sakellaropoulo took up an ancient Greek adage, about peace and war readiness.
“The government has decided that we have to take this action (to buy Dassault Rafale fighter jets). Not just to send a message (to Turkey), if you want peace, you must always be better prepared for war,” Sakellaropoulo continued.
“Everyone needs peace in the Mediterranean. Not only Greece, but Turkey, the European Union, NATO (North Atlantic Pact), and everyone also needs it,” he said.
