However, it has not always been so. “When I met Michael he was 13 or 14 years old. He was the most adorable child imaginable ”, remembers Elton John. But as an adult, Michael Jackson has apparently never managed to bond with his peers, preferring to spend time with the younger ones, he believes.
In his book, the Rocket Man evokes in particular a party to which he invited the interpreter of Thriller. The latter quickly moved away from the other guests and ended up spending the evening playing with the governess’s son. “For one reason or another, he didn’t feel at ease in the company of adults”, considers the English singer.
He makes a clear diagnosis: “I don’t say this lightly. He was really a mental patient, someone a little worrying to be around. ”
