BERLIN, KOMPAS.com – Alexei Navalny, leader of the opposition Russia who became the vocal critic of President Vladimir Putin, reportedly intending to return after he regained his sanity.
This statement was made by his spokesman, after Navalny uploaded the moment he was in the hospital after being suspected poisoned last August.
In a tweet on Twitter, Kira Yarmysh said he was getting questions from journalists whether Navalny was really going to return to Russia.

“Once again I confirm it. There are no other options discussed. In fact, it is very confusing if people think otherwise,” he said.
Reported BBC Tuesday (9/15/2020), the announcement was made shortly after Alexei Navalny uploaded a photo of himself with a caption on Instagram.
“Hello, this is Navalny. I miss you. I still can’t move much, but yesterday I was able to breathe without any help,” he said.
The 44-year-old opposition leader said he could now breathe without the aid of a tube placed in his throat, or without the help of a nurse.
He collapsed on his way to Siberia on August 20, where tests showed he was poisoned with nerve poison Novichok.
Allies and his team suspect he was ousted at Putin’s orders, a claim the Kremlin has vehemently denied.

After being treated at a local Siberian hospital, Navalny was then transferred to the Charite Hospital located in Berlin, Germany.
Journalist BBC Russia Ben Tavener of the location reported, there was not a large number of police presence at Charite Hospital.
There were two fully armed policemen at the entrance, and a van that had been on standby for days, Tavener commented.
Unconfirmed reports in Germany said that more law enforcement officers would be alerted, around the ward or near Navalny’s room.

What is the background of the assassination attempt?
Alexei Navalny is an anti-corruption activist who for years has been known to be outspoken in criticizing President Putin’s government.
Navalny’s supporters say the politician from the Russia Future Party was allegedly poisoned at Tomsk Airport before his flight took off.
He then suddenly fell ill during the trip, causing the plane to make an emergency landing at Omsk, where Navalny is undergoing emergency treatment.
After lobbying, “Red Bear Country” authorities allowed Navalny to be transferred to a German hospital.
From the results of the examination, it is known that he was poisoned using Novichok, a neurotoxin developed in the Soviet Union during the Cold War.
