Hyundai Motor Company is taking on the role of a leader in digital transformation during the COVID-19 pandemic, as evidenced by the launch of the interactive application “Chanel Hyundai” for smart TVs. At the same time, it promises not only online transmission, but a completely new kind of experience through multimedia content and a digital interface.

The application will currently offer three special categories (Live, TV and Models), but it is planned to expand it with other items in the future. But what do the individual categories currently offer?
As the name suggests, the Live category will offer product premieres and presentations of the brand’s visions. For us, the most important is the currently planned premiere of the all-new fourth-generation Hyundai Tucson, the live broadcast of which will be available via the app on the night of September 14-15 at 2:30 Central European Time.

So far, the carmaker itself has revealed to us only the unusual appearance of the exterior, which is particularly interesting with a futuristic mask with integrated headlights, added a sketch of a premium-looking interior and published a video from testing at the Tatra polygon and winding roads leading to the Austrian Grossglockner. However, he is still hiding most of the details for the premiere.
But let’s go back to the smart TV app. The TV category will offer videos covering a wide range of lifestyle topics. From the brand’s partnership with the art community to its activities in motorsport. In addition, it is planned to produce original contributions only on the Hyundai channel in the future.

The Models category is then intended primarily for those interested in detailed information about Hyundai cars. But don’t just wait for videos. The application will also offer a virtual interactive showroom, in which customers can get acquainted with the most important features and equipment elements of all Hyundai models through virtual reality.
The Channel Hyundai application has been available for LG and Samsung smart TVs since 2017, with webOS version 3.5 or higher for LG models. Hyundai plans to make the app available to an even wider audience on other brands’ smart TVs in the future.
