WHO Records New Records for Global Daily Case Increase in Coronavirus

KOMPAS.com – World Health Organization (WHO) recorded a record increase in daily cases corona virus globally on Sunday (13/9/2020), with a total of 307,930 new cases in 24 hours.

Launch CNA, the largest increase in cases came from India, the United States, and Brazil.

The number of deaths increased by 5,537 to a total of 917,417 deaths worldwide.

India reported 94,372 new cases Covid-19, followed by the US with 45,523 new infections, and Brazil with 43,718 new cases.

Regarding death cases, the US and India each reported more than 1,000 new deaths, while Brazil reported 874 people died in one day.

Previous, WHO recorded a new Covid-19 infection record of 306,857 cases on September 6, 2020.

According to Reuters, India occupies the first position with daily new cases corona virus and set a global record last week with 97,570 new cases in 24 hours.

In some parts of India, oxygen cylinders have become difficult to find as the total number of cases exceeds 4.75 million.

Meanwhile, the US recorded more confirmed cases of Covid-19, with the total number of cases reaching 6.5 million.

Covid-19 infections continue to increase in 58 countries around the world, including Argentina, Indonesia, Morocco, Spain and Ukraine.

New daily coronavirus cases have fallen in the United States, down about 4.4 percent from the record new cases on July 16 with 77,000 infections.

The cases that occurred in Brazil were also reported to tend to decline.

Case developments in various countries

The death toll from the corona virus has reached 1,000 cases every day since early September.

Meanwhile, on Sunday (13/9/2020), police in the state of Victoria, Australia, arrested more than 70 protesters for violating orders to stay at home.

Victoria has become the epicenter of the outbreak in Australia, with 75 percent of infections and 90 percent of deaths occurring in the region.

On the other hand, Israel has imposed a national lockdown due to cases corona virus continue to increase. Strict restrictions will be in place for at least three weeks.

Israel has recorded more than 153,000 confirmed cases of infection and 1,108 deaths from Covid-19.
