Accelerator NVIDIA Quadro RTX Ampere will receive 10,752 CUDA cores and 48 GB of memory

Internet sources have published the technical specifications of the new generation NVIDIA Quadro RTX professional graphics accelerator – the flagship video adapter of the Ampere family.

The “heart” of the novelty will be the 8-nanometer GA102 chip. The configuration assumes 10,752 CUDA cores. The turbo frequency is indicated at around 1860 MHz.

The equipment will include 48 GB of memory with a 384-bit bus. It is important to note that GDDR6 chips will be used, not GDDR6X. However, in the future there may appear Quadro RTX Ampere modifications equipped with GDDR6X chips.

It is noted that the effective memory frequency will be 16 GHz, the bandwidth – up to 768 GB / s.

It is not yet clear under what name the new product will enter the commercial market. It is rumored that the professional Quadro RTX Ampere accelerators could be combined into the Quadro A8000 family.

We add that from October 5 to 9, NVIDIA will hold a GTC (GPU Technology Conference) conference. Apparently, it is at this event that the veil of secrecy will be removed from the Quadro RTX Ampere video adapters.
