Some employees of the heart monitoring department at HMC Westeinde in The Hague have tested positive for the corona virus. A spokeswoman confirms reporting on Omroep West.
She could not say how many employees were involved, but they are all at home by now. An extensive contact investigation should reveal whether there are more infections. Patient care on the ward continues as usual, with even more extra precautions than was already the case.
According to the spokeswoman, everything runs according to the protocols and is examined and possibly tested in collaboration with the GGD. For example, it must be checked whether there has been contact with patients. Patients and staff have been asked to keep a close eye on their health.
