The Rolling Stones have set a new record in Great Britain. As the first band ever, they have managed to top the UK charts with best-selling albums in six different decades.

This time they do that with the remastered release of Goats head soup, which was also number one when it was released in 1973.
It already started with their debut album The Rolling Stones in 1964. That record resided at number one on the bestselling albums list for twelve consecutive weeks. In total, they have now delivered thirteen number one albums since their inception in 1962. That’s as much as Elvis Presley and Robbie Williams. Only one band did better: The Beatles. They were at the top with fifteen albums.
