sport">The first part of the stage is flat, before the peloton faces the first climb (4th category: the Côte du Château d’Aulteribe (1 km at 8.4%). After an intermediate sprint, the Col du Béal (10 , 2 km at 5.6%) in front of the door, a 2nd category climb, followed by one of the 3rd category: the Côte de Courreau (4 km at 5.7%).
sport">The final part of the fourteenth stage has a final to look forward to. In the last 15 kilometers, the drivers have to deal with two climbs of the 4th category. First, the Côte de la Duchère (1.4 km at 5.6%) is on the roll. The Côte de la Croix-Rousse (1.4 km at 4.8%) is the last climb to the finish, which is otherwise flat.

I fear that a group will drive away, because this is really such a moment in the Tour that there is an attack. And for the sprinter teams this can hardly be checked. If a somewhat larger group does arrive, guys like Julian Alaphilippe, Wout van Aert, Greg Van Avermaet and Peter Sagan are normally in the final and they can compete for the stage victory. I have always been a fan of Van Avermaet and I hope for him that this Tour will succeed one day. ”

sport">“In that fifteenth stage on Sunday, there is certainly no group to stay away, the Grand Colombier (17.4 km at 7.1%) is too long and too difficult for that. Here it will be man against man on the final climb between the classification riders and now we will see whether Tom Dumoulin can be of added value for Primoz Roglic as an extra man, while all other favorites will probably be alone again. I am also curious how Egan Bernal will appear in that tough final, especially after Friday’s day when he lost 38 seconds to Roglic and Tadej Pogacar. The two are well matched, and on the Colombier we may see who is the strongest of those men. For now, these are the two favorites. It is a pity that Bauke Mollema is no longer there after his fall and wrist fracture, because after Dumoulin joined Roglic he was the only remaining Dutch classification rider. I was really curious what Mollema was still capable of this Tour, unfortunately we will not see that again. ”
