Unclear Rules, Bima Arya Questions SIKM Jakarta if the Total PSBB is Implemented

BOGOR, KOMPAS.com – Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto said that the capital buffer areas (Bodebek) have not decided to follow DKI Jakarta’s steps which will impose total PSBB.

Bima assesses that the total PSBB which is planned to be implemented by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government on Monday (14/9/2020) does not yet have clear rules, one of which is the application of the Jakarta exit and entry permit (SIKM).

He said, many residents of Bogor City work and do activities in Jakarta.

Therefore, Bima asked the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to make clear regulations if the total PSBB was enforced.

“We ask for clarity about how the activities in and out of Jakarta for residents of Bogor City who do not work from home (WFH) due to needs and others. Will there be a plan for SIKM (exit and entry permits) and so on, because this must be the same the same is coordinated, “said Bima, Friday (11/9/2020).

He added, another condition that must be anticipated if the total PSBB is implemented is the possibility of high mobility of Jakarta residents coming to Bogor.

Because, every weekend, many Jakarta residents come to Bogor for a vacation.

“The danger is that if Jakarta becomes a total PSBB, then Bogor does not. Then the residents of Jakarta and its surroundings will run to Bogor. Good for tours, eating, traveling, meetings, etc. Now this is what we need to anticipate,” he said.

Currently, Bima continued, the Bogor City Government prefers to extend the Micro and Community Scale Social Restriction (PSMBK) period until next Monday while waiting for certainty on the results of the coordination meeting between the DKI Provincial Government and the central government on the total PSBB plan in the Capital City.

The Bogor City Government will only officially announce its decision whether to follow the total PSBB plan in DKI Jakarta or not, on Monday.

“On Monday we will announce what the City Government’s policies are,” he concluded.
