Four Russian Youth Hockey Leagues have been postponed (MHL) matches of the unit “Riga”, the team reports on Friday.

“Rīga” reports that the home games with “Sahalinskije Akuli” scheduled for February 25 and 26 have been postponed to October 6 and 7, while the away games scheduled for October 8 and 9 against this team will be played on October 9 and 10. .

“Rīga” usually hosts home games in the “Inbox.lv” ice hall, which is located in Pinki, but games against the Sakhalin region team will take place in “Arena Riga”.

In the next two games, the Rigans will play on Sunday and Monday, when they will meet with the local “Krasnaya Army” in Moscow.

The Riga team has won three successes in the first four games of this season and ranks sixth in the Western Conference with six points.

Last season’s MHL team “Riga” head coach Raimonds Vilkoits and his assistant Aleksandrs Nizhivijs joined the Continental Hockey League (KHL) to the headquarters of the coaches of Riga “Dinamo”, while their duties were taken over by Valērijs Kuļibaba and Sergejs Durdins.

The Latvian team went to the first trip of the season with 25 hockey players, among whom three are goalkeepers, eight play in the position of a defender, but the other 14 are attackers.

The striker Deniss Fyodorov did not go out with the team due to illness, but Nikita Sažko stayed in Riga to continue training. Forward Jānis Švanenbergs must skip the first outing due to the current Russian entry rules. The attacker joined the team later, but the Russian side had to submit the entry list ten days before entering the country.

Goalkeeper Bruno Brūveris, defender Ernests Ošenieks and forward Patrick Zabusovs are training together with the KHL team “Dinamo”.

Last season, the Riga team took the seventh place in the Western Conference in the regular championship, but in the first round of the playoffs, Yaroslavl’s “Loko” gave up 0-3.
