The game of the Continental Hockey League (KHL) between Riga “Dinamo” and Nizhny Novgorod “Neftekhimik” has been postponed, reports KHL.
The match was scheduled for today, September 11 at 19:30 “Arena Riga”. Upon arrival in the Latvian capital, the guests performed Covid-19 tests. Seven Neftekhimik hockey players have positive results.
It is not yet known when this game will take place. The date and time will be announced by KHL at a later date.
This is not the first incident with Neftekhimik. Before one of the matches, the team put almost all the basic line-ups and coaches on the injured list, without commenting on anything in detail.
As part of the home series, “Dinamo” played three games on its field. The season started with a loss against Nursultan’s “Barys” (2: 3), followed by another failure – against Helsinki’s “Jokerit” (1: 3), while in the third match “Dinamo” celebrated the victory, beating the Moscow region “Vityaz” with 4 : 3.
The game against Neftekhimik was the last in this home series. At the end of the week, “Dinamo” will go on a field trip, during which they will play against Novosibirsk “Sibir” (September 14), Khabarovsk “Amur” (September 16) and “Barys” (September 18).
The next match on their field “Dinamo” will be played on September 22 against Nizhny Novgorod’s “Torpedo”.
