John Landgraf, boss of FX, the channel that broadcasts in the United States Atlanta, has announced that filming will take place early next year. The broadcast is scheduled for the end of 2021. The next two seasons ofAtlanta, the third and the fourth, were written at the same time and will be shot in parallel. The first will be filmed in Atlanta and the second in Europe.
The critically acclaimed second season aired in May 2018. Donald Glover had indicated he wanted to take the time to write the sequel, so as not to disappoint his fans. He has since released several albums, and has toured Guava Island, a 54-minute musical film starring Rihanna.
