Although he grew up in Perpignan, Lieutenant Ludovic Pochet knew Sarreguemines “a little” before being appointed there on the 1is last August at the head of the brigade. “My in-laws live in Altrippe. The choice to continue my career at Sarreguemines is therefore not completely trivial. The living environment is very pleasant and the welcome I received fits perfectly with the reputation of the region. Really, I don’t regret coming here, ”says this 46-year-old man, married, father of two children. So much for the privacy side.
On a professional level, the new boss of the territorial brigade does not complain either. “We see that the barracks are recent and I am very satisfied with the first weeks of work with my teams”, confides the gendarme, at the head of a unit of 22 soldiers for a sector which covers 19 municipalities.

Baccarat, Créteil, Dijon
“I had a certain attraction for the Air Force, nothing predestined me for a career in the gendarmerie. Let’s say that I had an opportunity and I seized it ”, declares the lieutenant, passed by the school of Montluçon (Allier).
His first assignment in June 1998 will be the Baccarat mobile gendarmerie squadron (Meurthe-et-Moselle). He remained there until April 2002, when he joined the proximity brigade of Pesmes (Haute-Saône). In 2003, he obtained the authorization to exercise the functions of judicial police officer.
In February 2006, he joined the Créteil brigade (Val-de-Marne) for 14 months then the research brigade (BR). He then officiates in the field of financial delinquency. Change of scenery in August 2010 when he joined the peri-urban brigade of Quetigny, near Dijon (Côte-d’Or). He joined the Dijon research brigade on 1is May 2013 with the rank of chief warrant officer. Before landing at Sarreguemines on 1is last August, at the same time as the new company commander, Captain Moncarré.
