Chinese video blogger TecLab on the portal Bilibili published the results of performance tests of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 video card. Unfortunately, the video, which also demonstrated the capabilities of the card in synthetic tests, was quickly deleted. However, vigilant netizens managed to take screenshots.
The source of the video stated that he was holding a reference sample of a GeForce RTX 3080 card, as well as a working NVIDIA driver version 456.16. The video card was tested on a system with an Intel Core i9-10900K processor.
According to the conclusions of the Chinese reviewer, the average performance of the RTX 3080 model is about 30% higher than that of the flagship GeForce RTX 2080 Ti model and about 50% higher than that of the GeForce RTX 2080 Super. The reviewer also noted that during the tests, the total power consumption of the system with the new video card reached 500 watts.
The Chinese reviewer did not show the video card itself, so the results below should be taken with a certain degree of skepticism. The notorious Twitter user under the nickname @_rogame collected the information obtained together, and also compared the results with the model indicators GeForce RTX 2080 Super.
Results of performance of GeForce RTX 3080 in the synthetic test 3DMark:
- 3DMark Fire Strike Performance: 31,919 points (25% higher than RTX 2080 Ti and 43% higher than RTX 2080 Super);
- 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme: 20,101 points (24% higher than RTX 2080 Ti and 45% higher than RTX 2080 Super);
- 3DMark Fire Strike Ultra: 11,049 points (36% higher than RTX 2080 Ti and 64% higher than RTX 2080 Super).
- 3DMark Fire Strike Time Spy: 17,428 points (28% higher than RTX 2080 Ti and 49% higher than RTX 2080 Super);

Game tests were conducted with maximum graphics settings in 4K resolution. As a result, it turned out that the performance of the GeForce RTX 3080 is 48 to 62% higher (depending on the game) than the GeForce RTX 2080 Super. In gaming tests, the new card did not compare to the RTX 2080 Ti model. The results can be seen below:
In addition, performance metrics were shown for games such as Control and Death Stranding with NVIDIA DLSS anti-aliasing enabled and disabled (On / OFF). For the first game, the values were 90 and 50 frames, respectively. For the second – 160–170 and 100–110 frames.
Screenshots of the game test results can be found in the galleries below:
Recall that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card model will go on sale on September 17.
