Lionel Messi already prepared for the new season together Barcelona. La Pulga has now trained together with his teammates.
As is known, Messi has undergone his first pre-season training on Monday (7/9), after announcing that he will stay at Barcelona. Even so, at that time he was just practicing alone, not far from Philippe Coutinho who also underwent an independent program after the holidays.
This is so that Messi can adjust first, considering that he is already a week behind compared to his colleagues who have started pre-season since Monday (31/8). Only on Wednesday (9/9) local time Messi finally joined the main squad.

In that training session, Messi did not show any awkwardness. He was seen smiling and chatting with his teammates, like Luis Suarez. Besides Messi, there are four players who have also recently joined the first team training, namely Coutinho, Sergio Busquets, Frenkie De Jong, and Ansu fati. The last three names have just defended their respective national teams in the UEFA Nations League.
This week’s training session is part of preparations ahead of the trial match against the Spanish League third division team, Gimnàstic de Tarragona, Saturday (12/9). Even so, it is not yet known whether Messi will be fielded by Ronald Koeman in the fight.
Spanish League actually started on that date, but Barcelona will only have their opening jornada by hosting Villarreal on 27 September. They started the new season late because they still had to compete before Champions League until mid-August.
