Jakarta, Selular.ID – Information regarding the iPhone 12 has been circulating a lot, the latest report from Nikkei Asia Review. As informed on the official website, Nikkei Asia Review informs Apple is preparing to start mass production of the iPhone 12 series. Then, production will be increased towards the end of September, or early October.
According to the report, Apple hopes to make 80 million iPhone 12 5G units by the end of the year, but its realistic projections are closer to 73-74 million. The rest will be produced in early 2021.
Of the projected 80 million, 40% will reportedly consist of the iPhone 12 Max with 6.1-inch OLED, two cameras on the back and 5G. It is expected that the mass production of the iPhone 12 series will start with this device first, along with the latest reports.
According to a supply chain executive, Apple has been able to shorten delays from months to weeks.
Supply sources also reported that Apple has begun mass production of AirTags, which are tiny Bluetooth-enabled trackers attached to lost items.
Additionally, Apple has ramped up production of its upcoming iPad models, which reportedly aim to make as many as 27 million devices between September and December.
Lastly, according to a Nikkei Asian Review source, Apple is not planning a new version of the iPhone SE for 2021.

Previously, through its official website, Apple announced that it would hold an event on September 15, 2020, at 10.00 PDT or 00.00 WIB. The event which is said to be announcing the iPhone 12 will be broadcast online from Apple Park, Cupertino, California, United States.
The webpage for the event did not mention any details regarding the iPhone 12. But normally, Apple launches a new iPhone model at the annual event every September.
