PR BEKASI – Symptoms of COVID-19 from one person to another can vary and a sore throat can be one of them.
In respiratory diseases such as flu, a sore throat is often the first symptom because the virus is inhaled and then first passes into the nose and throat then replicates there causing sore throat and irritation.
Quoted Pikiranrakyat-Bekasi.com from the Antara news site, it turns out that a sore throat is not a common symptom of COVID-19.

The Healthline page noted, a study in China, at the direction of the World Health Organization (WHO) found that, of some 55,000 confirmed cases, only 13.9 percent of people reported sore throats.
Two smaller studies in China also found that sore throats are a less common symptom of COVID-19. One study reported it in just 5 percent, while another reported sore throat in 7.1 percent of cases.
In general, the more common signs of COVID-19 include fever, cough that can be dry or wet, and tired.
Apart from a sore throat, other less commonly reported symptoms of COVID-19 include shortness of breath, headache, body aches, chills, runny nose or nasal congestion, digestive problems such as nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea and loss of smell or taste.
