50 years and a few weeks later, the Quentin couple returned to the mayor of Val d’Hazey, in the Eure, to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary.

It was in the last century that Jean-Gabriel Quentin (alias Lélé) and Brigitte Georgette Mauger said yes on June 13, 1970 to Cormeilles-en-Parisis, arrondissement of Argenteuil in the Val d’Oise.
50 years later, and a few weeks, they went back to the mayor of Val d’Hazey in L’Your, to celebrate their noces d’or.
Their daughter Audrey was the instigator of this event and this is how Lélé and Brigitte forced Philippe Collas (mayor of Val d’Hazey) to put on his tricolor scarf on Saturday August 29, 2020.
He confided in practicing this type of ceremony for the very first time.
A triple anniversary
This anniversary celebration has here a double meaning for the spouses, the 50 years of marriage and the 70 years of each of them. Brigitte and Lélé met at the Prisunic in Cormeilles-en-Parisis, 56 years ago.
Brigitte was selling records and Lélé, a mechanic, quickly became her biggest fan. He regularly came to see her with his yellow Motobecane and 6 years later they said yes.
From this love were born 3 children, Ludovic in 1971, Cyril in 1979 and Audrey the youngest in 1985.
Arrived at Aubevoye in 1978
The family moved to Normandy for professional reasons and moved to a lodge in Aubevoye in 1978 and in which they still reside.
In 2010, Brigitte and Lélé asserted their right to retirement and thus fully benefit from their 7 grandchildren.
They escape regularly by organizing many trips. They have already stepped on the soil of Martinique, Canada, the United States, Morocco, Tunisia, Greece, Bulgaria, Croatia and do not intend to stop there.
From cotton wedding to golden wedding, it took cotton wool to weave a whole life which is now embroidered with such a precious yellow metal.
Congratulations to the couple Brigitte and Lélé who definitely attract the round numbers, 1950, 1970 and 2020 like a magnet. Let’s wish them a 2030 to enjoy the wedding of the purest material, diamond.
