The petition launched by greedy fans was not enough. The historic Cavalletti pastry shop closes its doors: it had blocked the activity for Covid with the promise to reopen in September but the owners have decided to stop.
A loss for sugar lovers, especially the famous millefeuille, the house cake that apparently was also dear to Queen Elizabeth’s palate. Cavalletti was one of the oldest and most renowned artisan workshops in Rome and its production had been going on since 1951.
