05:52 – There are currently 8667 infected people, of whom 204 are in hospitals. However, on Sunday, the number of victims of the infection increased by three cases to a total of 436. A total of 28,156 were infected with coronavirus, of which 19,053 have already been cured.

The worst situation with the infection is in the Pelhřimov region, where hygienists register 98.2 infected per 100,000 inhabitants. The second place in the imaginary ranking was occupied by Hodonín (78.6), the third place belongs to Prague (72.49). This is followed by Tábor (64.33) and Třebíč (62.27).

The growing number of cases is related to more frequent and targeted testing. From Tuesday to Thursday, the daily number of tests was around 11,000, on Friday the laboratories processed more than 12,900 samples, which is the maximum so far. Less is usually tested on the weekends, on Saturday the number of tests decreased to about 7,000. The number of Sunday tests will be published by the ministry in the evening.
