The Hollywood star arrived at the foot of Helsetkopen on Sunday in what is allegedly his own, matte black Airbus single-engine helicopter – which he also flew in London earlier this summer. Cruise even sits behind the levers.

He took a helicopter certificate before the recording of the previous “Mission Impossible” in 2018, which was documented in a behind the scenes video. The film shows, among other things, the star who practices the helicopter hunt with the other pilots – using toy helicopters.

Waited for days

After several days of waiting for good recording weather, Tom Cruise completed four jumps with a motorcycle out of the huge ramp on the mountain top. The bikes landed in the stone clock below, while Cruise arrived by parachute.

This weekend’s recording in Norway also featured skydiving scenes, which Tom Cruise himself was responsible for. Then he jumped out of an orange, Norwegian-owned helicopter.

Also during filming in London earlier this summer, Cruise made several parachute jumps from a helicopter. Director and screenwriter for Mission: Impossible film number seven in the series, Christopher McQuarrie, has revealed in interviews that there will be “at least three obscene stunts” that will make the spectacular helicopter hunt from the 2018 film “look like a toy”, according to Collider.

– It will be fantastic on film, says Tom Cruise Åndalsnes Avis , where he also praises Norway as a «fantastic place».

– Popular guy

The filming was pure folk festival, where the audience sat on camping chairs to witness the Hollywood star’s aerial acrobatics. And Tom Cruise waved and smiled willingly to those present.

– After the third jump, he came over and talked to us from a distance of twenty meters. He loves nature here and is very grateful for the hospitality he has experienced, says Ole Arnstein Ringdal NRK Møre and Romsdal.

– Memory for life. Popular guy. He also waved several times from the train roof before he came all the way to us, one of the spectators writes The Facebook page to Åndalsnes Avis when Cruise was down on Saturday and rehearsed scenes on the train set which for the occasion have been turned into the “Orient Express” – and which will soon roll along the Rauma line to illuminate southern parts of Europe.
