The author of the song “Strange Peacefully” is Lauris Reiniks, but the lyrics were created by the young musician from Jelgava Gatis Mūrnieks.

“Honestly, this time is not very creative and there is not much desire to create and compose something. This is a really strange and very peaceful time. And maybe that’s why I wanted to just finish the song I started composing before this situation started and put it in words that describe how I and I think many of us feel right now, “says Lauris.

“It’s a song about longing, ignorance and people’s love. Everyone is definitely missing something else, but for me most of all it’s physical contact with other people, friends, relatives – visit, celebrate, shake hands, hug, give a kiss. All this, “which was a normal communication between people a couple of months ago. We can only hope that together we will help it to end sooner and return to normal life,” explains Reiniks.
