The Japanese government is ordering more than 800,000 residents of regions of southwestern Japan to immediately leave their homes due to the arrival of Hurricane Haishen. The Japanese broadcaster NHK reports this.
The country is bracing for the arrival of the severe hurricane. A record amount of rainfall is taken into account. Authorities warn of flooding, high waves and water levels and a lot of wind.
