jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Airlines Lion Air plans to open a new route to the Berau region of East Kalimantan.
The new route service will be implemented starting September 9 and served directly through Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan International Airport, East Kalimantan (BPN).
Corporate Communications Strategic of Lion Air, Danang Mandala Prihantoro said, for this initial stage Lion Air plans to operate a daily service with a one-time return frequency.
“The flight number JT-934 will depart from Balikpapan at 08.20 WITA and is expected to arrive at Kalimarau Airport, Berau (BEJ) at 9:20 WITA,” said Danang in a written statement, Saturday (5/9).
Danang continued, the flight will be carried out on the same day with aircraft number JT-935 having a scheduled departure from Berau at 10.00 WITA and will land in Balikpapan at 11.00 WITA.
He is optimistic that air travel from Balikpapan to Berau of around 50 minutes non-stop can provide added value to all passengers in traveling using affordable aircraft.
“The availability of the flight schedule is Lion Air’s main focus in responding to requests from inter-destination passengers and efforts to increase the trend of demand for air travel,” added Danang.
In addition, Danang also hopes Lion Air completes the flight schedule options using the right departure time.
