The number of corona infections in Tilburg has risen sharply in the last week. This Friday, twenty infections were added. In a week’s time there are 114 new infections, according to the corona dashboard of the national government.
Forty infections are registered of a group of students who became infected at private parties during the introduction week. Some students were also infected while on vacation.

Even without including those students, there are more cases of infection than in other cities. By way of comparison: seven infections were diagnosed in Eindhoven on Friday and 48 in a week. In Breda, there were 35 infections since 29 August.
