Aston Martin presents unusual versions of its production models with enviable regularity, and their circulation often does not exceed several dozen copies. However, this time, the engineers of the Q division created a unique car built on the basis of the already small-run One 77 coupe using components from hypercars. Vulcan and Valkyrie… However, the main feature of the new Aston Martin Victor coupe was an unusual design inspired by the V8 Vantage model, which was produced from 1977 to 1989. And the car was named after the British Victor Gauntlett, who ran Aston Martin in the eighties.
The design of the optics, the characteristic shape of the hood, trunk and radiator grille are made in the style of the V8 Vantage model, although in the cabin there is practically nothing about it: with an abundance of carbon fiber, a racing steering wheel, screens of the instrument cluster and media system, Victor’s interior is much more like modern cars of the British brand. By the way, despite the retro design, the body of the car has a good aerodynamic design: at a speed of 160 km / h Victor develops more downforce than the track Vantage GT4.
Under the hood is a naturally aspirated V12 engine with a volume of 7.3 liters from the One 77, but after a number of modifications carried out by engineers at Cosworth, its output was increased from the original 760 hp. and 750 Nm to 847 hp. and 821 Nm! But the surprises do not end there: the six-speed “mechanics” of the Graziano firm works together with a powerful aspirated engine! That is, the Victor has become the most powerful three-pedal car in the history of Aston Martin. The drivetrain is equipped with a dual cooling system and a custom clutch mechanism, and Victor also received special carbon-ceramic brakes with six-piston calipers (380 mm discs front, 360 mm rear).
The company does not name the price of the Aston Martin Victor coupe – the car is built in a single copy, and, alas, there is no reason to hope for the release of even a small batch of cars.
