Culture – Leisure | Between Us sings against cancer

At a time when the whole world is fighting to eradicate this new Covid virus, another scourge still persists. Like last year, the Thionville cover group Between Us continues its campaign of solidarity with the Bordet Institute, in Brussels, for the fight against cancer.

This year, you are repeating this solidarity campaign with the Bordet Institute in Brussels. What are your motivations ?

Fabien MUIA, manager and musician / singer : “For almost seven years that the group has existed, we had to communicate a strong message through the music that we offer to the public. The group is well known in the Thionville region, in Luxembourg and in Belgium as well. Cancer affects us all, near or far. “

How do you act to support this cause?

“During our concerts, we offer the public to buy a t-shirt for 10 euros. This is not much and a lot at the same time because the money collected is entirely donated to the Bordet Institute, in Brussels, which is the center for research and treatment of cancers. We are particularly keen on it. The next concert will take place this Sunday, September 6 on the banks of the Moselle, at the Guinguette chez Hervé, in Thionville, from 3 p.m. It will be free. “

How is the group doing with these health restrictions?

“Very good despite several cancellations. We are starting our 7e year of existence with certain movements within the group which consists of Antoine Bonaddio on bass, Sébastien Eiden on guitar, Michel Martin on keyboards, Julien Santoro on drums, around Lucie Cogliandro on vocals and me on vocals and on the guitar. Our line of conduct does not change, just like our pop rock repertoire. After Thionville, we will perform on September 12 at Red Bar in Rombas, on September 17 at Lounge Act One Luxembourg, on October 26 at Pérotin in Moyeuvre-Petite and on October 17 at Bar du feu in Jarny. “

Solidarity concert this Sunday at 3 p.m. in Thionville. It’s free. Sale of t-shirt at 10 €.
