The Netherlands will have their first match without Ronald Koeman who accepted Barcelona’s proposal.

The Netherlands hosted Poland in the inaugural match of the Group A1 UEFA Nations League at the Johan Cruijff Arena, Saturday (5/9) in the morning WIB.

1. FIRST HALF KICK OFF

8. The pressure was put on by the Dutch through Nathan Ake’s movement down the left who sent Memphis Depay in a cross but starred Lyon it was offside first.

14. Polish GIliran launching a fast counterattack. Piotr Zielinski sent a through ball to Kamil Jozwiak who executed the ball from a tight angle but it was just wide of Jasper Cillessen’s goal.

21. CHANCE! Quncy Promes escaped the offside trap when he received the ball in the penalty box, but his left foot shot was off the side of the far post of Wojciech Szczesny’s goal.

32. GOLD OPPORTUNITY! Receiving Tomasz Kedziora’s attractive pass from the right, Krzysztof Piatek unleashed a powerful shot which slid towards goal but was blocked by Cillessen.

45. TIANG GAWANG! Georginio Wijnaldum tossed the ball into the penalty box and was received by Frenkie de Jong who held the ball with his chest and then fired a kick that still hit the Polish goal post!

49. CHANCE! Memphis Depay’s imperfect touch made him execute the ball from a tight angle, the ball finally crashing into the net from the outside of the Polish goal.

58. OPPORTUNITIES! Van Dijk sent a gastric bait which Depay welcomed. He tried to run with the ball before releasing a shot which Szczesny could still secure.

61. GOAL! A gastric bait was directed at the far post which was immediately greeted by Hans Hateboer’s shot into the mouth of the goal and Steven Bergwijn grabbed into an empty net.

73. STAT: It was Steven Bergwijn’s first for the Netherlands in ten appearances for the Oranje. The same thing for Hans Hateboer who made his first assist for the Netherlands.
