First released in 2012 on PC before being ported to PS4, PS Vita and Xbox One in 2017 and 2018, Ys Origin is about to land on Nintendo Switch.
Ys Origin events crash their frame before the first Ys. The goddesses used their magic to bring the inhabitants of Ys to safety in the heavens, before disappearing. In the skin of the knight Yunica Tovah or the mage Hugo Fact, it will be necessary to go in search of the divinities who have abandoned them. During their journey, they will have to face creatures, but also protect the sacred tower leading to humanity’s last refuge. On the hybrid console, players will find the same content as on other platforms, including speedrun mode.
Ys Origin will launch on October 1, 2020 on Switch. The physical editions, including the Limited Edition and the Collector’s Edition, are available for pre-order for Switch and PS4. The latter offers in addition to the game a physical copy of the soundtrack, a sticker sheet, a pin, an acrylic diorama and a special golden box.
