PISTORF, Austria — The Sulmtalhalle in Pistorf buzzed with excitement on Friday, Feb. 14, as seven teams and over 30 participants competed in the 32nd AK-ÖGB-Stocksport business championship. The event, a testament to camaraderie and skill, saw intense competition culminating in a thrilling final.
Among the notable attendees were Martin Hesele from the AK-ÖGB company sports association Styria, ÖGB regional chairman and board member of AK Styria, BRV Robert Fauland, and competition manager Wolfgang Genseberger. Numerous works council colleagues from the region also participated.
The tournament,divided into groups A and B,featured preliminary rounds followed by placement games. The atmosphere was electric,with both players and spectators fully immersed in the action. At the tournament there was a great atmosphere among the stick athletes, as well as the numerous spectators,

The final match proved to be a nail-biter, pitting Wienerberger Tondach Gleinstätten against TDK Electronics GmbH Deutschlandsberg. In a closely contested game, Wienerberger emerged victorious with an 8-5 win, securing the championship title. The bronze medal match saw Ceram Austria GmbH Frauental triumph over Wolfram St. Martin i. S.
