The reigning Olympic champion Hector seemed to have had a sharp ending but that was not enough.
The latter starting Federica Brignone crushed the field with a perfect ride. The Italian reached the target 1.43 before Hector, who was also passed by Alice Robinson who was before Brignone halfway.
hector acknowledged that she was nervous before starting.
- It was not a hundred (with the nerves) but for the second ride I should just try to find my skiing,that’s it,states a bitten Hector.
Even though Hector is long after Brignone in the fight for gold, only 19 hundred parts up to the podium for the Swedish are five.

Federica Brignone believes that the competition is far from over.
- she (Sara Hector) is an amazing athlete and last year I managed to take back when I was in the same position so it is never over until it is over, says the Italian to SVT Sport.
Brignone also points out that the second ride will be more “Bumby”. Warmer and harder for those who will go last.
- A race with two rides is never easy it is so stressful. Being the best after the first at the World Cup is no easy task.
