MedRide, Colorado’s largest non-emergency medical transport company, faced a suspension for their services on Friday related to a fraud investigation. A MedRide spokesperson said the company was still working to be fully reinstated but said for the time being, Medicaid patients could still use their services.
MedRide filed an injunction in court on Thursday, and 11 News asked state officials whether the lifted suspension was a result of that injunction.
“The Medicaid patients are the ones who are truly hurt the most by this process,” MedRide president and owner, Greg Harriman said. “These patients depend on us to maintain their health and wellbeing, and our focus remains on resolving this issue quickly so we can continue to provide this service to those who need it most.”
