Among‍ these, 206 cases were​ pneumonia,⁢ 64 required hospitalization, and 153 were confirmed influenza cases, with 22 needing⁣ additional care.

This ‍surge in cases‍ is ‌attributed to two primary factors: ⁤ the refusal of ⁣people to vaccinate and legislative changes regarding vaccine access.⁣ “If in the ​past years the flu vaccine ‍could ​be obtained from the‌ family doctor, now those who want to get it must first⁣ visit​ a doctor for a prescription and then ​purchase it from pharmacies,” explains a recent report.
