The Olympic movement and the regions hosts are already enthusiastic about Milan Cortina 2026, just over a year from the Olympic and Paralympic winter games.
Abadi added: “Italy is once again ready to put heart, passion and competence to host an event that will not only be a spectacular sporting opportunity, but also a significant growth opportunity for the entire nation”.
“The organization of the winter youth Olympic Games will be an additional showcase for the infrastructures created by Simico – Society Infrastructure Milan Cortina, leaving further positive inheritance in terms of sports facilities, educational programs and social initiatives that will continue to generate an impact far beyond the Closing of the 2028 yog. The available budget is approximately 65 million to which the government contributes for 22.5 million and by equal amount, pro quota, Lombardy Region, Veneto Region and Autonomous Province of Trento.
