UNCA Advances in Medicine Program Implementation with Government Support
On the morning of February 4, 2025, the rector of the UNCA, Ing. Oscar Arellano, alongside Vice Governor Ing. Rubén Dusso and university authorities, conducted a comprehensive tour of the building designated for the new medicine program. this facility will also host other careers within the Faculty of Health Sciences. The visit highlighted significant progress in classroom infrastructure, with the Vice Governor announcing the government’s commitment to transferring additional spaces for laboratory advancement.
“It is a scheduled visit; in this tour today we are seeing infrastructure issues, conditioning of the building, and what is missing for the correct dictation of the race,” said Arellano. He emphasized the university’s readiness to welcome a large influx of students, calling it their “first challenge.” Arellano also noted that the tender for classroom furniture, initiated last year, is now being fulfilled, with the equipment arriving for the already conditioned halls.
The Vice Dean of the Faculty, Mgter.María Cristina del Valle Arreguez, described the day as “special,” showcasing tangible progress in the Medicine program’s implementation. “We are really very happy,” she said, adding that the Dean, Dr. Omar Barrionuevo, and the commission had recently advanced the pre-registration schedule. Arreguez also revealed plans to equip two essential laboratories for the first year, a collaborative effort between the university and the provincial government.
The tour included key figures such as Dr.omar Barrionuevo, María Cristina del Valle Arreguez, Academic Secretary Alejandra Nieto, and General secretary Ing. Horacio Andrada. their presence underscored the collective commitment to ensuring the program’s success.
